Privacy Policy

This is a standard SaaS privacy template provided as a starting point. Please have it reviewed by qualified legal counsel, and align it with the laws that apply to you (e.g. GDPR, CCPA) before relying on it.

This Privacy Policy explains how GeofenceKit (“we”) handles information when you use our platform, dashboard, APIs, and SDKs (the “Service”). We act as a processor of the end-user location data you collect through the Service, and as a controller of your account information.

Information we process

Account data — your workspace name, email, and hashed password.
Configuration — the branches, zones, and campaigns you create.
Event data — geofence enter/exit/dwell events sent by your apps: a device identifier, an optional user id you supply, the zone, timestamp, app id, and platform. We do not require names, emails, or precise continuous location tracks.
Usage/technical — API key usage, request metadata, and logs needed to run and secure the Service.

How we use it

To provide fence sync and event ingestion, deliver campaign content, enforce usage limits and security, produce your analytics, and support you. We do not sell your data or your end users’ data.

End-user location & consent

Your applications collect location events on the device and send them to us on your behalf. You are responsible for obtaining the permissions and consents required by law from your end users, and for your lawful basis for processing.

Retention

Analytics/event data is retained for 90 days and then automatically deleted. You can export your data as CSV at any time. Account and configuration data is retained while your workspace is active and for a reasonable period afterward.

Sharing

We share data only with infrastructure providers that host and operate the Service (e.g. cloud hosting and database providers) under appropriate safeguards, and where required by law. We do not sell personal data.

Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, hashed credentials and API keys, per-tenant isolation, and revocable keys. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you and your end users may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data. Contact us to exercise them; where we act as a processor for you, we will assist you in responding to your end users.

Changes

We may update this Policy; material changes will be posted here with an updated date.
